The idea of a FamilyWeb is to provide a reasonable graphical representation of the ancestry of the person(s) at its centre, including the surnames in the family out 4 generations to the great-great-grandparents. The format does not attempt to cope with adoption (i.e. it assumes that all are natural parents). It copes with children born out of wedlock, by carrying every person's surname.
Where the name of a person carries a hotlink, it points to that person's own FamilyWeb. Where the word 'More' carries a hotlink, it points to a page that provides further information about that person. Where the word 'Line' carries a hotlink, it points to a page that provides further information about that family-line.
